Beginner’s Guide: Using the Umalator Toolkit

Start with the course, plan the build, choose supports, pick skills, and validate with sims. Here’s a minimal workflow that works.

1) Analyze the Course

Open Course Images and note corners, straights, and slopes—this sets your skill and stat priorities.

2) Set Goals in the Build Planner

Use Build Planner to define target stats and key events. Keep a safe and a greedy variant.

3) Choose Supports

Use the Tier List for candidates, prioritizing synergy and event stability over letter grade alone.

4) Pick Skills with the Visualizer

Map triggers by phase in the Skill Visualizer and avoid redundant effects.

5) Validate with Sims

Run 20–50 sims via the homepage Race Simulator. If you’re using JP content, switch to the JP Simulator.
